Task: In this project you're going to learn how to tell if a website is reliable or just a load of rubbish.
Process:
Check out a few websites below to determine which ones are "real" and which are "fake." As you explore the sites, jot down notes of what you discover. Write a summary of your results. The following questions should be answered in your summary.
- Which sites did you visit?
- Were they reliable?
- How could you tell if they were reliable?
- What things should you look for on web pages to determine if they are legitimate.
- What other ways can you determine if a website is reliable.
- Do bears hibernate?
- Can men get pregnant?
- Which one is the real website of the World Trade Organization?

- Now try an online encyclopedia.
